BNDfC has enlisted the help of students from the University of Sheffield to discover what you think about your area.
Fifty second-year undergraduates will be undertaking the research within Burngreave to establish what people think about the regeneration that has taken place and what they would like to see happen during the remaining five years of BNDfC.
During the research, the students will work to design and send out a postal survey to a sample of approximately 200 residents and then follow up face-to-face interviews with a smaller sub-sample of 50 people.
Jackie Toyne, Monitoring and Evaluation Manager for BNDfC, said:
“It is vital to the success of BNDfC that we regularly communicate with residents and give them the opportunity to feedback to us about what they do and don’t like. We hope that the local residents selected will get involved and share their experiences. This research will look at the perceptions of the residents who live in the BNDfC area and aim to understand how well the programme is doing and what difference it is making.”
The research will begin in February and run until May 2006. The final report will be available and presented locally in July 2006. For further details please contact Jackie Toyne at BNDfC on 292 0458 or email
