Shirecliffe now part of Burngreave

Dear Messenger

I am sure you are aware that since the boundary changes, the whole of Shirecliffe is now part of the Burngreave Ward. Over the past six years you have published articles which are pertinent and of great interest to the residents of the whole of Shirecliffe. For example, June’s issue concerning the helicopter site, the Keepmoat builder’s compound and Parkwood Landfill!

Incidentally, the ‘Welcome to Shirecliffe’ sign is located in the wrong place. It should be just before the helicopter site, and a complaint to this effect has been lodged with the Area Panel. The true purpose of my letter is to request that the whole of Shirecliffe is circulated and a copy of your excellent newsheet is delivered to each dwelling, or a copy upon request, and of course I am requesting one please!

Yours sincerely, G Sewerin

Unfortunately the Messenger doesn’t have enough funding to deliver to Shirecliffe. However we will continue to report on stories that affect the area and we have arranged to give twenty copies to the Shirecliffe TARA every month. We can also leave copies in other public places, such as shops. To suggest a place for us to deliver to, contact the Messenger on 242 0564.
