Messenger Editorial

The Messenger has followed the Cactus Club management’s steady progress and preparations to legalise their establishment. The club has now been granted full legal status and should be allowed a fair run at making this a success. The management informs the Messenger that they have made all efforts to develop a positive relationship with the police, but the police’s response on the opening night seems to be a clear message that no such relationship can be developed. The Messenger’s concern is that local police are in danger of being seen to act unfairly towards the club. We hope to return to this in more depth in our April edition.
