Congratulations to all that work at the Yemeni Economic and Training Centre! No Yemeni Centre or Community has been awarded Beacon Status before. For those who have invested years in voluntary work helping the community and provided a platform for Yemenis to gain skills and employment, it was about time!
Abdul Shaif and those that work within the Centre and provide a service outside it should also be proud of such an amazing achievement. I've seen them work hard through the night, helping someone with a passport, sorting someone's life out or helping people get basic skills.
It has taken years of work, sacrifice, and most of all dedication from the Centre's leaders and many many volunteers to deliver a high-quality service and much love to so many in our community – so congratulations again! Congratulations to the winners at Business Forum Award too! You deserved it and may this year also be a prosperous one!
