Bungreave African Caribbean Resource Association (BACRA) held its first event in December. All those who attended the café on Earsham Street were entertained by an array of activities from a DJ workshop to an arts and craft stall, also a carpentry making display conducted by Raul Marsden.
The Burngreave Hall of Fame was also on display courtesy of the Listen to Us Project. Free hot food and a tour of the building showed everyone attending the potential Earsham Street has for expansion. Chair of BACRA, Wendell Smith explained: “BACRA’s aim is to establish itself as a recognisable association that can cater for the needs of all members of the African Caribbean section of Burngreave.” by Rob Smith
