The project offers a tool loan service to qualified women in non-traditional trades. This enables women to work in jobs such as plumbing, plastering and tiling without having to buy expensive tools.
The Award helped Jo buy the tools.
Her advice to other budding entrepreneurs: “If you’ve got an idea and the drive and passion to take it forward, UnLtd will work with you to make your dream a reality.”
Cliff Southcombe has used his UnLtd award to introduce wireless-based broadband to Robin Hoods Bay, near Whitby. Cliff used his award to pay for equipment and volunteer training.
Michael Harding used his UnLtd award to buy music equipment for the Ryedale Rock School.
