Advancing Together – Education

A number of different LEA projects in local schools providing bilingual teaching assistants for reception upwards, breakfast and after school clubs, study support and language learning. It includes ‘Celebrating Success’, an annual award ceremony for pupils who have achieved success at school or made an outstanding contribution to the local community and ‘Raising Achievement, Reducing Exclusion’ (funded to July 06) – a programme that identifies and targets pupils who can benefit from extra support at critical points in their schooling.

Anti-social Behaviour Team

Deals with all complaints about anti-social behaviour using mediation or legal action if necessary.

Apprenticeships For All

Offers local residents access to work-based training and employment opportunities city wide.
