After a turbulent 2005 pre-season where Burngreave Saints Under 8s lost quite a few players, we basically assembled a whole new squad, only retaining half of last season’s squad. After only a couple of friendlies, we went into the season not really prepared and lost the first three games.
But we improved steadily every game, before finally winning two games on the spin and playing really well. After this we came up against a couple of really quality sides and were well beaten.
So far, the coaches and myself cannot fault the players’ effort, and we hope before the end of the season we can win a couple more games.
