Local Under 10s team Earl Marshall Juniors have enjoyed an excellent start to the 2005 season. Although the sequence of seven wins and a draw against league leaders Maltby Juniors was upset with a narrow 1–0 away defeat to Whiston Wildcats, the team is through to the quarter finals of the Trophy Competition and is well placed to push for promotion in the second half of the league campaign.
This is the third season together for many of the boys, and the strong sense of team spirit that has developed is a credit to the players, parents, manager Garfield Walters and his assistants Tony and Cecil.
