Working with local Iraqi Kurds, Carwood resident Jean Wood has been fundraising to support their football team, Shirwana.
The Kurdish community have faced many difficulties in recent months and Jean is keen to make something positive happen. “The boys need football boots, because they have no money to buy these themselves. We’re trying to raise more money so the team can travel to the games.”
