Dear Messenger
Can you explain to me why there was no mention of the BCAF AGM on the 21st October 2005 in this issue of the Messenger? If this publication is indeed a ‘Messenger’ for the people of Burngreave, then surely it should have mentioned the Burngreave Forum, which is composed of, and is for, the residents of Burngreave.
If you are interested, it was a very good meeting. The theme of the AGM was the effect of the London bombings on our community. The attendants broke off into smaller discussion groups and gave their thoughts on the events, and gave suggestions on what we can be doing as a community to ensure that racial equality isn’t compromised.
I hope in future that you will take more of an interest in what the Forum is doing in Burngreave, and report this to the community.
Yours sincerely, Rebecca Cram
We didn’t cover the BCAF AGM because we didn’t have a volunteer who could attend and write the report. If anyone would like to report on future BCAF meetings, please get in touch. – ed
