No Xcuse

No Xcuse kicked up a storm during their mid-afternoon Abbeyfield set, delivering 40 minutes of quality live hip hop, including their forthcoming ‘boy meets girl’ single – Beautiful Thing.

The group formed back in 1996 when ‘man on a mission’ Marcus Dailey scouted for best singers, MCs, writers and producers to make music with a message. No Xcuse also incorporate The Young Offenders, brought together in 2003 by Lewis Trotman, who performed their new single Get mad.

The crew, who all know each other through school, talent shows and the Firth Park MC scene were quick to emphasise the force that underpins their music, “We want our music to carry a positive message, to show that rap is about more than just violence and guns”.

No Xcuse will also be performing at 3DOM Festival at Devonshire Green and Grapefest. Their website: www.noxcuse.co.uk/.

“No xcuse for war, No xcuse for drugs, No xcuse for crime, No xcuse for poor education, No xcuse”
