Writing regarding the buses B1, B2 and D1.

Dear Messenger,

I would like to thank you on your excellent magazine, which I look forward to receiving every month. I am writing about one of your articles in the June issue, regarding the buses B1, B2, and D1, drivers are friendly and it covers a good area. However I would like to suggest a change in the route to the D1 service to Darnall and Catcliffe. I think it would serve the area better if it went up Ellesmere Road and down either Sutherland Road or Lyons Street, and not down Gower Street as there are no houses. Also a bit of advertising by Morrisons and Big W on the buses would help to attract more passengers I think.

Yours faithfully, W Nicholds

New Deal, who fund Burngreave Buslink, told us:

Routes are reviewed every quarter, so any resident wishing to propose a change to a route can do so by contacting Joice Richards (on 279 6934) or attending the Environment theme focus group meeting on 28 July 6–8pm at Pitsmoor Methodist Church. The Burngreave Links service will be having an annual review this summer when detailed passenger information will be collated from surveys carried out on the buses.
