BNDfC is always looking to get ideas from the local community and the monthly Theme Focus Group meetings have proved ideal.
They provide the chance for local people to meet up with BNDfC Theme Managers, workers in the area and, most importantly, other residents to discuss and identify solutions to issues in the seven different theme areas.
From September 2004, while the Theme Focus Group meetings will continue, there will also be Theme Strategy Group meetings. The membership of Theme Strategy Groups, established through a recruitment campaign during the summer, includes local residents, voluntary and community organisation representatives and BNDfC Partnership Board members.
These Groups will oversee the development and implementation of the Theme Strategy, carry out an annual review of the Theme and assess the effectiveness of projects to ensure they are delivering changes to local people.
They will also assess new projects against the aims and objectives of the BNDfC 10 year plan and annual Delivery Plan.
For BNDfC to achieve change in Burngreave residents, need to be at the heart of the design, delivery and evaluation of everything we do.
The Theme Focus Group meetings, held every month, are an opportunity for local people to get involved. Let us know what is important to you, tell us what is working, what is not and what can be improved.
