Important visitors spread the word

Story by the New Deal executive team

BNDfC has welcomed some special visitors over the past couple of months who are now fully equipped to spread the word about the excellent work that is taking place in Burngreave.

First to pay us a visit was Alan Bowman from the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister. He spoke to local people and saw the interventions BNDfC is making to address the social and economic issues in Burngreave.

Next in line were representatives from the other NDCs across Yorkshire and Humberside. This provided an ideal networking opportunity so good practice and ideas could be shared.

Finally, we welcomed some visitors with a difference, nine British ambassadors from the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and British Diplomatic Missions.

They were taken on a tour of the BNDfC area and visited the Catch the Drift youth project for children who are excluded or are in danger of exclusion from school.
