Story by Gaby Spinks
Shirley Grundy of Grimesthorpe started smoking when she was 19. Forty-six years later she has successfully given up.
Her two sons, who have never smoked, are very proud. She was offered patches by her GP, and couldn’t believe how well they worked – with no cravings either. Her next battle is to get her husband to stop.
She said “I can taste things again, I feel a lot healthier and think of the money I’m saving”.
Congratulations Shirley!
