Girl’s football is great but there is nothing worse than turning up for a match and not having enough people to play. So if you are nine or over and want to practise on Tuesdays at the Adventure Playground with Steve, and train with Donna on a Friday at the Sheffield Wednesday club, then ring Katy on 0790 993 6381. We play league matches most Saturdays.
You will have to be ten or eleven and to give us a chance you will have to try and come to practice. Please come – it’s fun!
Burngreave Ladies Soccer
Burngreave Ladies still need more players. If you like football get out and get fit this winter. Training is 6–7pm every Tuesday indoors at Sheffield United Academy, Firshill. Open to all Burngreave Ladies over the age of 14. All abilities welcome. For more information call 0773 033 3598.
Bye bye Katy
After two years hard work developing sports activities in the Burngreave area Katy Burnett is leaving the Burngreave Sports Project to take up a job with Activity Sheffield in the Manor and Castle Area. Thank you Katy for your dedication, good humour, help and support and good luck in your new post. Burngreave’s loss is Manor’s gain.
BSN Steering Group
The Burngreave Sports Network are still looking for new committee members, with the Asian community being particularly under-represented. So if you love sport please give up a couple of hours a month to help us plan new activities.
