We were there, were you?

Story: Kieron Williams – Area Co-ordinator for the Burngreave Area Panel

Once again the Abbeyfield Park Multicultural Festival was a great success. The Area Panel was there to join in the festivities and take the opportunity to hear your views on all that is happening in Burngreave. We also brought with us a team of face painters to help make sure the park was full of smiling faces! We would like to thank Green City Action for organizing the event and everyone else who got involved for helping to make it such a success.

The festival is one of four events each year to be organized in this area by Green City Action as part of the Burngreave Events Project funded through the Area Panel and Burngreave New Deal for Communities. The next event will be a celebration of the Wensley Estate on 8th September. There will then be a winter festival of light in November.
