Campaign for adult learning

Sheffield CALL campaign at the Lib Dem conference
Sheffield CALL campaign at the Lib Dem conference

Adult learning faces funding cuts which will affect courses in Burngreave. ESOL in particular, will no longer be free from learners who are not on job related benefits. This will affect a large number of learners in the area. Course funding for adult learning from the Council is at a stand still but courses will no longer be delivered by Council tutors and the work will be commissioned later in 2011.

These pages will be updated with the latest news about the local campaign against the changes and cuts in adult learning.
